Huck and I have listened to hours and hours worth of love songs and we are still searching for our first dance song. I never knew how hard some of this wedding stuff would be! I am hoping that we will make our decision soon because I think we are both ready to move on from this musical nightmare.
Sometimes I wonder if we are just over thinking the choice. Each time we both say to each other, "but is it US?" I don't know that any song out there is going to embody us completely. We share this idea of the perfect song that will express our love perfectly. I hope we aren't setting ourselves up for failure, holding fast to unrealistic expectations of "our" song.
There is just so much planning that goes into picking the right song. Besides trying to pick the song with lyrics that grip our souls, we are trying to pick a song with a beat that we can actually dance to. Who knew that love songs didn't always have a smooth beat that is easy to keep up with?
Now... I don't want you guys to get the wrong idea. Huck and I are dancing fools. We both have exceptional dancing genes. We've got the moves like Jagger and we know how to feel the music-- but some of these melodies are too confusing, even for the best of us. I truly believe that even Chris Brown and Usher would struggle with some of these songs.
But I will not fret. We will be victorious in this musical struggle. Just don't judge us if we flip out and end up picking some Michael Bolton song to celebrate our nuptials. It might come down to that...
This Miss is becoming a Mrs! As I take on my new title of "wife" I have a lot of learning to do! As I adjust to my new lifestyle, I will share all of the cheers, tears and fears that I will experience as a newly wed!

The Hunger Games...
I have been an absentee blogger over this past week. I would apologize for this, but I have been swept away into the lives of Peeta and Katniss, and until my journey is complete, it is quite possible that my blog posts will be short and/or nonexistant.
It feels good to love a book again. I have my favorites that I can always return to reading if the mood strikes, but there is nothing like beginning a new adventure alongside characters that become a part of you. I had been hearing about The Hunger Games for quite some time, but I had been hesitant to read them, assuming they would not grab me in the way that I was craving a book to capture me. Boy was I wrong! I have been whisked away into this new world of Panem and I am beyond taken by these characters.
I don't want to spoil these books, but I do encourage everyone I know (and haven't had to pleasure to know) to read them. It is very rare that I find a book that I feel compelled to tell everyone I know to read. I have just added three to my collection: The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay. Read them. I promise you will be glad you did!

Nothing Tastes as Good as Thin Feels...
My grandmother always told me this as a way to keep me motivated about maintaining my weight. I have always struggled with my weight. At 5'1, every pound shows, every inch looks like five, every ounce is taken into consideration.
I have never been a big fan of exercise. Even now, I find myself using excuses as to why I don't have time to workout.
But I am getting married...
Every bride wants to look her best on her wedding day. It is the one day we are allowed to be princesses. I, for one, know that I will be disappointed in myself if I don't feel and look my best on that special day. So, I am trying to get past my lack of love for exercising- I know I will thank myself when my wedding day arrives.
As I go through my ups and downs with my weight loss goals before my wedding, I will continue to be honest with all of you about my struggles. I want to lose ten pounds by my wedding day! June 9th, I WILL look and feel my best!

A Little about Us...
As I mentioned in my earlier post, I am in the process of getting MARRIED! My sweet fiance and I had been together for a year and a half when he popped the big question! In late October, we took a trip to the BVI with his mom and he asked me the last night of our trip while we were taking a stroll along the beach of one of the sweetest little beaches I have ever visited! We are getting married on June 9th, so we have been in wedding mode from the moment we landed back in the states. I can really tell that things are coming together, and it makes me so excited to see our visions coming to life.
We would love if all of you would visit our wedding website! I am adding a link to this post, so please- stop by, read all about us! We would love to hear from all of you!

Like anyone could even know that...
I have created several blogs over the past few months, each ending in a failed attempt. With this blog, I have decided to put it all on the line-- every little bit! As I take on this new part of my life, I have a lot of learning to do! While I am experiencing a whole lotta "firsts" in my new life, I will share it all-- the good, the bad and the ugly!
Now, the name... I know you are all wondering WHERE I got my name. Well, it is a tribute to my sweet fiance! If you know my sweet fella, he L-O-V-E-S lipstick. If he had it his way, I would wear it all day, everyday! Red, pink, light dark, lip gloss, chapstick-- the boy loves it all!
So, in honor of my sweet guy-- Here are MY Lipstick Diaries.
